2011-2012

Mr. Munch does have teeth, but I haven't been able to get photographic evidence...until now!

And then there are giggles! Wonderful baby giggles.

This year was an amazing year for the Munch Family. There was a move, some job changes, and, most importantly, Mr. Munch joined the world. The past six months have been some of the best for Mama and Daddy. They've been difficult as well, but it's worth it to have such an adorable, happy baby. So here is a look back on the last 6 months:

Mere hours old.

He has charmed his way into the hearts of many from the beginning.

Many tears have been shed, but there have also been many smiles.

He's enjoyed the weather from hot to cold.

 He's helped deliver gifts.

He will grow up surrounded by family.

He is rarely an unhappy baby.

He has gone from his first food (avocado) to a whole variety.

He has learned how to roll over and how to look around from his stomach.

He celebrated his first Christmas.

He has 5 generations on Mama's side and Daddy's side of the family.

He can almost sit by himself and he loves to stand.

Sick Baby

Yesterday Mr. Munch had a lot of fun playing in his new exersaucer. He likes to spin the rattle and flip through the book the most.

Monkey, Tiger, Bear, Lion, Circus!

Mama gave him something to hang on to, but it did not please Mr. Munch.

This has no candy!

Mr. Munch got to hang out with Daddy all afternoon since he had a second day off from work in a row!

Flyin' Baby!

In the evening Mr. Munch had a bottle which his body then rejected. After a bath, Mr. Munch was good to go.

Happy hour = happy baby!

This morning, however, Mr. Munch's stomach took care of his morning bottle the same way it took care of his evening bottle; rejection. Here's hoping it gets better for his poor little tummy.

Cuddling with his bunny.

Woof

Today Daddy had the day off from work, so the Munch Family packed up and visited Mr. Munch's Great Grandma J. Mr. Munch even got to experience something new: up close and personal with the dog!

Is this one of those Wookie things you were telling me about?

Learning how to pet the dog gently.

There was a little fur pulling, but Mama is grateful that the dog is *extremely* well behaved and tolerant of small children. After the curiosity wore off (on both sides), baby and pup got along rather well.

Bonding with Grandma J.

Today we also celebrate our 100th post!! Thank you all for sticking with me and giving me a reason to continue showing off my beloved baby boy!

Christmas Photobomb!!!!

Lately Mr. Munch has been working really hard on sitting up by himself. Mama decided to take a POV shot...

The play mat looks so different from this angle.

Last week Mama and Mr. Munch hung out at Grandma's house. She was making dinner that needed to be steamed, but Mr. Munch delayed plans for a little bit.

This handle is just my size and it makes noise when I bang it on the counter!

Merry Christmas!! Mr. Munch celebrated his first Christmas this year! We started out with a small family celebration at the Casa Munch.

Just a couple of gifts under our little tree.

His first gift was from Mama and Daddy.

Stacking cups. Way cool!

Oh, and they make noise?! Bonus!

His second gift was from Santa. The practical items included pajamas for him to grow into and a pair of socks.

Ripping paper is so much fun.

I got things from Santa!

He also got two books (Hush and Guess How Much I Love You) and some rattles.

This book is pretty cool, but I think I wanna try out those noisy things.

From Uncle R. and Aunt E. he got a book that (in Mama's opinion) should be in every child's book collection.

Bedtime reading anybody?

And from Uncle T. and Aunt J. (and cousins) Mr. Munch got a stacking star tower that lights up!

It's...so...shiny...

Later that afternoon the Munch Family made their way to Grandma and Grandpa's house for more Christmas partying! Mr. Munch got quite a few gifts (toys and books), but we were having so much fun that only a couple of pictures got taken.

Mama is having more fun with the toys than Mr. Munch! He just wants the light-up bag.

Hungry caterpillar eating all of your food? Call Munch Exterminations and they'll take care of your problem! *omnomnom*

The caterpillar has proven to be a favorite.

Later in the afternoon, the extended Munch family got even more extended when Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa stopped by to help eat the buffet feast Grandma had prepared.

So...those glasses look pretty cool. You sure you need them?

As bedtime approached, Mr. Munch and Grandpa had some bonding time on the floor.

Do you see the limited perspective I have of the world from down here? And you wonder why I like being held...

That night the Munch Family slept over at Grandma's house because the next day the festivities just kept going! Everybody headed out for the big family Christmas. We tried to get some better quality photos of each of the five generations as the last attempt did not have the best turnout.

Five generations from 101 years to 6 months. Wow!

After gifts there was some down time, so Mr. Munch showed off his sitting skills.

 Do you see me?

 I'm just showing off!

Do you see me?

Do you?!

After the family party, the Munch Family headed over to see Mango's family. Normally Munch and Mango regard each other with curious indifference and the evening seemed to start out in the same vein, but when they were placed at the same level and left alone, giggles and fun ensued.

Hey, she's actually kinda cool.

Mischief is being made.

This morning Mr. Munch was super excited to play with his new toys! Caterpillar was a firm favorite and replaced his piano when Mama had enough. It even followed Mr. Munch to his nap.

Future entomologist.

Note: Mama got a new camera for Christmas and had 148 pictures available to post. She slimmed it down a little bit.

Uh Oh...

Just so you know, Mama's computer cord has finally died. As there is currently 13% battery life left, posts may be a little delayed as she comes up with creative ways to post. Stay tuned!

Caught Up

As promised, though a little late, the pictures from the camera! Mr. Munch stayed up late the other night, so he got to hang out with Daddy before bed.

Your beard...it feels so...different...

Giggles Galore!!

The next morning Mama found out that it had been a tummy night that night.

Stretching out all 27 inches.

Today Mr. Munch had a happy morning. We worked on Christmas gifts and picked out Mr. Munch's outfit for the extended family Christmas on Monday. Then it was nap time bath time. Mr. Munch protested his nap with a nice blowout diaper. Afterwards, Mama was drying Mr. Munch when...

Sandman, you've been replaced by Poseidon.

Mama went to find Mr. Munch some pajamas, but she couldn't resist a few pictures.

Fluffy towels are the best.

He wasn't happy when Mama picked him up so she could lay down his jammies, but was passed out before he was even half dressed. He proceeded to sleep for an hour and a half.

Mama has found her new trick.

The problem with these particular pajamas on a particular little boy is...

The crotch doesn't like to stay snapped.

Oh well. It makes it easier to change his diaper!
