Almost Forgot...

Yesterday Mr. Munch's toes got cold. While Mama was looking for some socks, we had to keep his little feet warm somehow!

Just chillin' in my slippers...

My bunny slippers. You know you're jealous.

There was a technical malfunction when Mama tried to get today's pictures off from the camera. They will be debuted tomorrow in addition to your regularly scheduled post.

Camera's Back!

Mama enjoyed having her camera back, so she took a lot of pictures today. Only half of them made the cut.

I like your camera, Mama!

Today we started green beans. Mr. Munch has been good about vegetables so far, so Mama had high hopes for green beans. First bite...

(This face is for you, Grandma!)

But as the bites went on, Mr. Munch decided that he liked green beans.

More please!

I just ate more green beans than any other solid food I've eaten before.

This evening Mr. Munch's first Christmas gift (from Mama and Daddy) made it under the Christmas tree and his first stocking stuffer made it into his homemade stocking!

That's for me?

That's really for me?!

Welcome to the countdown every kid gets sucked into, Mr. Munch. You have 8 days to wait until you get to rip that shiny paper!

Good News Everyone!

For the past couple of days Mama has been letting Mr. Munch try some Graduates Puffs. In the end he eats them just fine, dribbles very little out of his mouth, and even occasionally opens his mouth for another one. That whole dry texture thing is still a bit off-putting, however.

It's so good, but oh so weird.

Despite not having a very good nap day today, Mr. Munch was happy for a small part of the afternoon. He giggled and gurgled and grinned as he earned his title:

Captain Adorable 2011

The good news for today: Mama has found all of the components to get her camera working again! Starting tomorrow, pictures will be taken with a digital camera, not a cell phone. Hooray for picture quality!

Party Rock is in the House Tonight

Now that Mr. Munch's legs have grown just a little bit more, he's found that his bouncy chair is very exciting!! (It doesn't hurt that sometimes Mama puts a pad that makes music when you jump on it underneath his feet.)

Look at me dance!!

After his afternoon nap, Mr. Munch had some cuddle time with Mama. She was wearing a hoodie. It was unzipped. This resulted in...

Zipper foot!

Mr. Munch was hanging out on his playmat while Mama made herself some dinner. When she came back, she realized just how mobile Mr. Munch has become...He had flipped over onto his tummy and scooched himself to the edge. In one hand was one of Mama's shirts. The other was reaching for a plastic bag. Thankfully he flipped over when he heard Mama come in and the bag was forgotten (and moved far away).

You want your shirt? Nope. It's mine now.

Here's What I Think About You

One of Mr. Munch's new favorite toys is his own tongue! He talks with his tongue out, he smiles with his tongue out, he pets his tongue with his fingers. It's just all about the mouth area.

I can even give sassy looks with my tongue out.

Dropping, Dropping, Dropped

Ok, so Mama is dropping the ball on this blog big time. My New Year's resolution will start immediately and it will be to update daily, like the blog title suggests.

We started putting up our Christmas decorations this past weekend. Mr. Munch was enthralled by the Christmas tree lights, so Mama went in for an artsy shot. Mama's phone was not designed to do artsy shots, but it doesn't look terrible.

I want to touch it soooo bad, but Mama put me just out of reach!

Mama has been battling a sore throat and chest congestion as well, so nap time for Mr. Munch = nap time for Mama Munch.

He's asleep, but he doesn't want to lose that paci!

Today Nurse Lori came to visit, but Mama didn't need Lori to tell her that Mr. Munch is growing!

His feet hang over the edge, but it's still fun to swing!

Mr. Munch is growing well! Even though he won't be 6 months old for another 2 weeks (already?!), Mr. Munch was charted on the 6 month growth and development scale. He passed with flying colors! He is, however, being a contrary baby. Most babies roll from tummy to back, say dadada first, and don't get teeth for another couple of months. Mr. Munch rolls from his back to his tummy, says mamama and bababa first (normally the last sounds made), and already has 2 teeth halfway in! There are a few more developmental steps he needs to take, but because we tested him early, we're not worried. He weighed in at 15 pounds 13 ounces and measured 27 inches long! Growing right on track! Nurse Lori also gave the ok to start eating Cheerios and Gerber puffs.

I beg your pardon, but what on Earth have you placed on my tray?

Mr. Munch wasn't too into the Cheerio idea, but that's ok.

Blah Days

For the past few days, Mama and Mr. Munch have been feeling pretty blah. Mama has been fighting a cold while Mr. Munch has been teething. We have both been doing a lot of this:
Catching up on the zzzzz's.

Today (Wednesday) Mama put Mr. Munch in his crib while she got things together to go to the store. She came back to find Mr. Munch questioning the enforcement of societal norms when it came to the orientation of one's body in an infant sleeping facility.

Who says I have to lay top to bottom?! *tongue*

And The Holiday Parties Begin

A few days ago Mama and Mr. Munch visited Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandma got tired of having no baby toys, so she sent Grandpa to the store.

Uncle J helping to put the toy together.

Ok, so I do what then?

Mom's attempt at an artsy shot. Didn't turn out quite how she expected.

Mr. Munch also got a new onsie from Grandma. He wore it the next day, but there he was too pooped to host a party that night. At least, that Mama and Daddy knew about!

Who's in charge of the Cheetos?!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to.

Next in the adventure of solid foods was carrots. Not Mr. Munch's favorite, but also not his least favorite. It took a couple of days to get used to the flavor and texture, but then we found a method of eating the Mr. Munch could get behind.

My food, my spoon.

I'll get this, don't worry.

You can't have it back, though!!

So for most of carrot time, Mr. Munch "feeds" himself. Mama puts carrot on the spoon, Mr. Munch grabs the spoon en route, and together they guide it into his mouth. Hey, if it gets him to eat his veggies, right?

Daily Adventures

Yesterday was a cranky day for Mr. Munch. At least, that's what Mama thought until a few minutes ago when she uploaded Daddy's picture...

I'm a troll baby!

After a long night with Mr. Munch waking up periodically (presumably from tooth pain from the chomped fingers and the acetaminophen relief), Mr. Munch woke up happy (and 2 hours later than usual, hooray sleep!). Mama and Daddy also realized that Mr. Munch had flipped over to his tummy in the middle of the night. Mama tried to catch him sleeping, but the floor is creaky.

Huh?! I'm up, I'm up.

In the evening, Mango brought her Mommy and Daddy over. She and Mr. Munch had a staring contest, but they both soon lost interest. Mr. Munch was fascinated by Mango's daddy's massive beard and Mango decided that Mr. Munch's paci and rattle were way cooler than her own.

Final Day of Filming

Yesterday during his day off, Daddy taught Mr. Munch how to blow raspberries with his tongue. The result? Mama covered in more baby spit than normal today!

The face Mama makes when I do this is soooo funny!

In preparation for his star role being filmed in the evening, Mr. Munch got a bath! For the first time he got a toy in the bath. Afterwards, however, the towel was the cooler toy.

I can yank this part up to my mouth, making it hard for Mama to put my diaper back on teeheehee!

Then it was down to filming. Even though he took an extra nap (because filming ended up going past his bedtime), Mr. Munch got cranky. Thankfully he was mellow enough that we got all of the shots we needed!

Lemme see that script. What is this silly director making me do now?!
