Long Day Out

Today The Munch Family all hopped on a bus and rode to the bus station. From there, Daddy went to work while Mama and Mr. Munch went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandma and Mama went shopping while Mr. Munch hung out with Grandpa. By the time the shoppers got home, Mr. Munch was out.

Who knew the floor could be so comfy?!

After he woke up, Mr. Munch got to play with a new teething toy!

Om Nom Nom.

In the afternoon Mama and Mr. Munch joined Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle J. in a walk around the city to take in the art displayed during the last day of Artprize.

Hooray for warm weather, sunshine, and Grandma's funny faces!

Then Mama and Mr. Munch headed home to prepare for Mango and her mommy and daddy to come over. While Mama cleaned, Mr. Munch got to hang out in his other new toy.

It spins, it bounces, who could ask for more?!

I Will Not Complain About The Weather

This morning (Saturday) Mr. Munch got to hang out with Daddy while Mama slept in. After Daddy left for work, Mama and Mr. Munch started to read a book, but we didn't quite reach the end.

This book feels awesome!

The weather outside was beautiful today, but the apartment was rather warm (and the air condition has already been decommissioned for the season), so Mr. Munch had dinner on the lawn!

It's a bird! And a plane!

Mr. Munch is working on his artistic look.

Mama's Mistake

This morning Mr. Munch woke up happy and cheerful! He spent the first minutes of his day talking to himself. Mama thought she was dreaming, but then Daddy woke her up on his way to work and confirmed that the little guy was just hanging out. After playing for a little bit, it was time for a bottle, after which Mr. Munch fell back asleep for his morning nap.

Pro tip: When a paci isn't available, fingers work just as well.

Then Mr. Munch and Mama took Mr. Munch's first bus ride to Grandma and Grandpa's house! While there, he talked with Grandma in French, took a nap on Grandma and Grandpa's bed, and watched Mama and Uncle J play Monopoly. Mama's mistake? She left the camera at Grandma's house. All of today's pictures were taken with Mama's phone, so the quality isn't the best, but it works!

When he and Mama got home, they met up with Daddy who was just arriving home from work and hanging out with a friend. Before getting a bath, Mr. Munch showed off his cool onsie.

Who, me?

While at Grandma and Grandpa's house, Mr. Munch got a package from Great-Grandma Z. Inside was a new outfit, some socks (yay socks!), and 6 personalized and beautifully embroidered bibs! And believe me, with a tooth coming in (yep, already) there is enough drool to constitute a need for 6 bibs.

It's time for a bedtime bottle while promoting our favorite blog!

(You know how sometimes people will smile until right before you snap the picture? Yeah, it explains the lack of smiles today.)

Time to Grow That Brain!

This morning Mama and Mr. Munch broke out the books and toys that were given as gifts at Mama's baby showers. So much fun!

Mom...there's a baby in my book...

All of that reading and playing tuckered Mr. Munch out, so he and Mama took a nap.

We were snuggling until Mama got up to take pictures.

Such a comfy bed!

Disclaimer: At no point was Mr. Munch's nose covered by pillow or pillowcase, even though it looks like it.

Uncomfy Baby

Unfortunately the day dawned as red as the hives on Mr. Munch's little body. He was an uncomfortable little baby today, but he was an absolute trooper. He napped on the walk down to get him some cream, and was a relatively happy baby for the rest of the day.
Nap time with Daddy

Later on, Mr. Munch got to practice sitting up in Mama's chair.

I have my rattle, my blanky, my paci, the TV remote, and Honey Bunches of Oats. I'm good.

Later in the evening, the Munch Family went with Uncle R. to Aunt E.'s house. Mr. Munch got to meet some kitties before he fell asleep in his play yard.

Sweet dreams, Mr. Munch

Philosophizing

This morning Mama and Mr. Munch went to a store and picked out some new clothes. When we got home, Mr. Munch took a nap, but after he woke up, he tried one on!

Camera Sneak Attack!

While changing Mr. Munch's clothes, he decided to grace us with some more of his baby philosophies.

Bad Night, Better Day

Last night the Munch Family had a long night. In the middle of the night, the batteries on Mr. Munch's swing died and he woke up, rather unhappy. Once he was awake, he didn't want to go back to sleep. Thankfully Mama found some spare batteries in the flashlight, but his night had been disrupted and he woke a few more times. As a result, everybody was sleepy once daytime showed up.

Big yawn!

Naps ensued and everybody's spirits were lifted.

Sleepy baby.

So sleepy, he's fallen asleep unaided on Mama's bed.
(Yes, Mama chose that onsie for a reason!)

Later in the afternoon, Daddy needed to run to the store. Because the car is still out of commission, he had to walk. The day was beautiful, sunny, and the temperature was mild. Mr. Munch got to go along for some fresh air! (Mama got to have a little time alone, so everybody was happy.)

The blue trash bins are far more fascinating than Mama with her ever present camera.

Later in the evening some friends of Mama and Daddy stopped by, but Mr. Munch decided that sleep was more important than visitors and slept through the whole thing. Here's hoping that tonight is back to a normal sleep schedule!

Change of Plans

This morning Mr. Munch was up bright and squirrely, therefore, so was Mama. After his bottle, he wanted to stay up, so Mama put him on his quilt in hopes that he would wear himself out soon enough that she could get a little more sleep. He spent a little time working on his rolling with no paci incentive. He only got about halfway, but half is better than not at all! (You can also see Mr. Munch's new paci string in this picture. Hooray for not loosing the paci!)

Mr. Munch was feeling rather green today. (Or Mama was...) Everything, including paci and string, has green on it somewhere. Mama loves her monster!

The plan for the day was to go to work with Daddy, then the Munch Family would head over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for the evening. However, the universe was bored and threw a curve ball our way...

A strut broke and pierced our tire. We can't even get it off the car. *sigh*

The day was turned around, however, when Mr. Munch's new friend Mango (http://happylittlemango.blogspot.com/) and her parents came over for a visit. Even though she is 3 1/2 months older than Mr. Munch, they had fun figuring each other out and the parents enjoyed having some grown up time!

Travel to the Store

This morning the Munch family was hanging out when Mr. Munch decided he wanted to sit up. Daddy had a different idea of sitting...

Uh, Mom?

Then it was Mama's turn to hold Mr. Munch. She wanted to show off his shoes.

What are these on my feet??

And before Daddy headed to work, the Munch Family headed to the store to get supplies for the Doctor Who finale!

Mom! I found the cocoa powder!!

Time to Be Adorable!

This morning Mr. Munch got up, had a bottle, and went right back to bed for another three hours. Yay! Mama gets to sleep in too!! Once Mama and Mr. Munch were up for the day, it was time for the lunch bottle. Afterwards, Mr. Munch didn't want to let go of his burp rag.
It's so fun to fling around and chew on!

Once Mr. Munch was dressed, he hung out on the floor while Mama got some work done on the computer. Normally when Mr. Munch loses his paci, he fusses until a) Mama puts the paci back in or b) he finds something else to suck on. This time, however, Mama looked over to find Mr. Munch trying to roll over and reach it himself!

What better incentive to roll than a paci?

He almost made it, but got the paci back before he rolled all the way over. Once Munch Daddy got home from work, he and Mr. Munch decided to have some chill time.

*looks innocent* We're not doing anything, honest...

And when they thought Mama wasn't looking, they got into some deep discussions.

Thick as thieves, these two.
