Sprouting, and Not Just Up

While we enjoyed having Great-Grandma visit, we had to let her go back to Arizona to give our love and hellos to Great-Grandpa. We had fun seeing you!

Another minion to add to his collection.

Now that Mr. Munch is gaining mobility and, along with that, some independence, he is no longer content to stay in a bouncer or exersaucer for much of any length of time. He has been spending his days playing in his room or climbing all over Mama and Daddy (whenever they allow).

I'm figuring out how to get into mischief!

This also means that he is exploring more of his world. Mama and Daddy have noticed that his attention span is (slowly) increasing. On his way to a nap, Mr. Munch spotted the television. Mama caught his reaction when he saw Muppets for the first time...

It's time to meet the Muppets...

He greatly enjoyed watching and even craned around Daddy's shoulder to watch as he left the room.

Mama and Mr. Munch stopped by Grandma's house for a visit, even though Uncle J was the only one home. Mama decided to experiment with the sun coming through the windows. We took a picture for Grandma and surprised her by making it the background on her computer. Mama got some other cute pictures, but she got some silly ones too!

Mr. Munch likes sticking his tongue out.

Mr. Munch loves looking at his books. His favorites in the past have been the squishy plastic ones he can take in the bath, but when he figured out that his monster book had textures...

It's...so...FUZZY!!!

As we bid a fond but hopefully not long goodbye to the warm weather, Daddy Munch made sure that family got out for some fresh air. Mr. Munch enjoyed car watching, leaf watching, and squirrel watching from the safety of his play pen while Mama and Daddy grilled and chatted with the neighbors.

What is that thing with the poofy tail?
It looks fuzzy enough to be in my monster book...

But Mama, the title refers to something sprouting, but nothing in your post has yet sprouted...what's up with that?

That, my friends, would be our other exciting news! While we have yet to get photographic evidence (it's difficult enough to look at without the bulk of a camera), we are excited to announce that Mr. Munch has his two top teeth! It took a few long days and nights before they showed their enameled little heads, but the Munch family, with the assistance of children's ibuprofen, made it to the other side. We believe he may have one or two others close to poking through, but we've been wrong before, so we'll just stick with what we can see. Once our bunny boy has grown his teeth in a little more, pictures will be taken, have no fear.

Woman Vs. Internet

After many days of fighting with my internet on many systems, I finally got the pictures uploaded! Hooray!!

Mama finally organized all of the clothes in Mr. Munch's bedroom and vacuumed, so now he has a whole room to play in!

Toy explosion in 3...2...1...

*BOOM*

He loves having room to practice his crawling. Great-Grandma also came into town (picture missing temporarily) and Mr. Munch enjoyed hanging out with her, as well as the cute outfits she brought!

I'm cute and I know it!!

The temperature has been exceptionally warm for March, so the Munch family has been enjoying fruit juice popsicles, even Mr. Munch!

Om nom strawberries!

Mama's living room chair backs up against the front window, so Mr. Munch watches cars and trucks (he's also developed an attachement to the television remote, batteries not included).

It's even more fun because the bus stop is directly beneath the window,
so it's guaranteed entertainment every 30 minutes!

On Sunday the whole family (Munch Family, Grandma, Grandpa, Muncles, and Great-Grandma) drove across the state to visit Great-Grandma's sister, Auntie J!

Taking time to check each other out.

Yesterday the Munch family enjoyed the weather by taking a walk down to the park and playing on the playground!

Mr. Munch's first swing ride! The squinty eyes don't portray the fun he was having.

Hello Again

Alright, so apparently there are more people reading this blog than I first expected and many of them have been asking what's happened with the blog, so we once again return!

Mr. Munch has had a busy life being shuttled back and forth to Grandma's house on the bus, but it will be getting a little less busy now that Mama and Daddy got a vehicle. With less time spent on the bus, Mr. Munch has more time to play! Hooray!

Peek-a-boo!!

Life has not been without a little hardship, though. The Munch family spent a weekend all being sick together and, based on the difficulties sleeping lately, Mama and Daddy are thinking that Mr. Munch is getting another tooth.

Today was a rough day. I'm hittin' the bottle early.

Mama and Daddy also switched the bedroom and the living room to give Mr. Munch more safe room to play now that he's starting to figure out how to crawl!

Who me? I'm not getting into trouble, honest!

It's funny when I slide down!

Mr. Munch is also pulling himself to standing! What a big guy he is now!

What is this archaic thing under the television? A veeseearr? What's a veeseearr?

Though Mr. Munch doesn't always enjoy taking naps, when he falls asleep, he's pretty cute. When he's trying to wake up he's pretty cute too.

I just had an awesome dream that Bunny and I were going for a
looong car ride to an all you can eat bottle buffet.

He has also grown to the point of being able to entertain himself. After a nap he is often found playing with his bunny or sock monkey.

He spent a half hour after his nap just sitting in his crib talking to his bunny and petting it's ears.

As we continue our journey into the solid food world, Mr. Munch has opened his taste buds to many different flavors. His favorites so far are vegetables (mainly squash, peas, and carrots) while he puts up with fruits and hates dry food, like his Gerber Puffs. For dinner one night, Mama was making breakfast-for-dinner and decided to let Mr. Munch try his very own (unseasoned and well cooked) scrambled eggs! A couple of pieces made it into his mouth and we're pretty sure that at least one piece was consumed, but it wasn't up Mr. Munch's alley. Neither has the sippy cup been a favorite addition, but it's tolerated.

Yeah...can I get some mush over here?

Since switching rooms, the Munch Family has had more room in the layout to set up Mr. Munch's playpen. This allows him the ability to move around as he plays which has made him a very happy Munch.

I've figured out how to stand up! And it's hilarious!

The Munch Family took a trip to the mall and got some necessary shopping done. Mr. Munch was between meal times when Mama and Daddy had lunch, but he sat at the table and played with some little apple chunks.

I may not like the texture, but those little things sure do make my fingers taste good!
